Teaching teachers and other adults about the brain was amazing for me because it allowed me to learn additional things about brain function and development. One of the key things I learned was that teenagers and young adults need to be aware of the brain they are relying on for their success. If the parents, teachers and other adults in a young person’s life are all operating with brains that are not functioning well, success and joy will be that much more difficult for the young person to achieve. But once teenagers and young adults know about the brain and can understand why other people act the way they do, they can adapt their behaviors and build relationships with others in a way that is mutually beneficial.

In order to get to know other people’s brains so that you can increase your own chances for better relationships and future success, you must go through a series of four steps.
